Full Design

1 . Interviews

All projects begin with a detailed interview with the client to determine their goals and objectives for their property. Clients homework is to create wish list and a clipping collection of inspiring images to help focus the project. Over the phases of the design process three or four meetings are required to move the project from concept to reality.

2 . Inventory

A detailed inventory of the site is undertaken with measurements verified and photo inventory taken. All unique and special features of the property are considered to ensure the the opportunities and constraints on site are taken into consideration

3 . CAD Base Plans

Working in CAD (computer aided design) a detailed and accurate base plan is prepared using legal survey plans and ground truthing measurements and elevations, tree locations, and existing hard and soft landscape elements.

4 . Concept to Design

The design process follows a flow, working with early concepts and refining the design towards detailed design. The final product includes a set of CAD drawings, to scale that are construction ready, with layout /dimension plans, planting plans and detail plans.

5 . Details

Custom designed decks, fences, arbours, water features, lighting, sculpture placement and other elements can be part of the package and these unique features make a garden sing.

6 . Tendering and Supervision

Finding the right group of contractors to build the job is one of the services that we offer. We only work with the best landscape contractors, stone masons, carpenters, pave stone contractors and concrete contractors. As well we connect the client with electricians, lighting specialists and artists to ensure that the whole package is complete.

7 . Pricing

Getting prices, reviewing them with the client, selecting the best contractors and supervising the installation is the service that ensures that all the dreaming during the design phase is realized in the implementation.

8 . Follow-Up

Many clients use our services in the years following the installation, to assist with minor adjustments, pruning, or phasing new projects into the jobs.
