One of our unique services is our three hour “kitchen table design process”. Many clients want to be part of the process. This is especially true of clients who want to install and maintain the garden themselves. Working at their home, with the preparations they have done prior to the meeting, to get accurate measurements and their own wish list and clipping file, I bring my computer and we create a CAD (computer aided design) drawing that can be emailed to you, the client, and printed for installation purposes.
This CAD drawing allows for ongoing additions and edits as the property and design evolves.
Kitchen Table Design Process
We walk the property, talk and start designing in pencil on paper. At the end of three hours the strong bones of a design are in place, with a scaled layout of walkways, patios, planting beds, and other elements. Details such as materials, plantings and sources are discussed and depending upon the complexity of the project many details are in place.
The value of this process has been proved time and again, as I have done hundreds of these design projects over the years. Some clients are set and on their way to achieving their dreamscape. Others decide during the process that they need more of my expertise and we roll the cost of the consultation into a full design process.
